ARMY/ WEDDING GOALS

Defence fitness
6 Months ago I was not in great shape.. I felt and looked terrible and never had any drive or energy to do anything. My wedding was approaching and I was not looking forward to looking at photos of myself.
When I first meet Zabeen the first thing that struck me was how upbeat and how approachable she was. She was more than keen to help me achieve my goals and made them seem very attainable within a set time. Not some far off dream.
The  thing was there was no half measure with her. This is a comprensive overhaul of my lifestyle from nutrition, eating habbits, exercise routines as well as follow ups to make sure i am doing it all perfectly to make sure i am on the right track. Zabeen has always been open to questions and offers very sound and effective techniques for kick ass training as well as the best diet to achieve lasting energy
There is such a variety of exercises that we do, Ranging from Jogging Running sprints, kickboxing, strength training, Core workouts, stretching. We base a lot of my workouts on conditioning me for the army which I am joining soon, its tough but nothing ever feels repetative. And Zabeen was there to support me through it.
Through monthly tests I was able to see constant improvements in my fitness for those times when you wonder if the pain is worth it.. but when the cloths  start getting loose and you need to buy smaller clothes you know you are on the right track.
I really could not have achieved the transformation in my body and feel as healthy, happy, sexy, strong and generally unstoppable as i do now. With Zabeen’s help and guidance I not only achieved my goal for my wedding day Pictures, I also made it into the Army Successfully!

Dragon Heart JUST DOES IT

Introduction SUZIE'S STORY

3 years ago I decided enough was enough, at 151.7kgs I was at my heaviest ever.

It was pretty much my new years resolution to lose weight - yay! This is the first resolution I've stuck too lol!

A friend suggested getting a lapband, so in November 2008 I had the surgery.

The band works by forcing you to eat slower & chewing your food really well so it goes down, so after 20 minutes of eating you feel full but you only eat an entre size meal.. If the food isn't chewed well enough it gets stuck, it hurts like hell & you regurgitate it.

Sometimes I'm so happy I got it, other times I regret it so much I binge eat anything that will go down easily, usually junk food & especially chocolate, mmmm chocolate (drool).

The first 20kgs dropped so easily & for the next 10kgs I had to really try, in a year & a half I lost about 30kgs!! making me 120kg, but by the end of last year I put some back on and was back up to 130. I realized the band would only do so much & that I'd have to work my butt off.

I lost 7kgs in 3 weeks just by eating healthy but I knew that wouldn't be enough, so after my holiday in Hawaii I joined my local gym at the beginning of march. That's where I met Zabeen, she made working out fun & combat is by far my favorite thanks to her. She was always motivating me & telling me how great I look (not that I need reminding, if you know me you know that I love me, lol).

In 3 months I lost around 15kgs & was down to 105kgs. That's when it all started going wrong, I was on a high protein low carb diet & eating only 700 calories a day. I started getting dizzy & light headed during workouts & I plateaued with my weight for 2 months. I felt miserable, being good with my food & exercising 7-10 hours a week but I was getting nowhere!

During all of this i decided to quit smoking, just to make it a bit more fun for myself ..... Hello cranky pants!!! I turned into mega bitch & substituted putting a cigarette in my mouth with food, not smart but I managed not to put any weight on, I went up & down 2kgs but stayed the same pretty much, Quitting smoking enabled me to go harder at my workout sessions..

About 4 weeks ago I had most of the liquid taken out of the band, I needed to be able to eat more so I could workout without feeling like I was about to pass out. Well eat more I did, I was like a bottomless pit for 3 weeks!!!

Finally after nearly 3 years I could eat like a normal person, hot chips tasted soooo good & they went down like a dream, along with the pizza & anything else I could shovel into my mouth that I couldn't for so long. That put me back up to 107kgs :(

Zabeen put me on a healthy eating plan nearly 2 weeks ago & I've started PT sessions with her, I'm feeling great & full of energy! Looking forward to the rest of this year for all the crazy stuff she's encouraged me to register for. A 90km bike ride to the Gong, hell yeah I can do that & mud run is going to be great for my skin, haha! If you have the motivation & you really want it all you need is someone to give you that bit of encouragement & push you to your limit & for that I have my awesome PT Zabeen :)
